ABOUT INDEPENDENT FILM WEEK

Originally conceived by a group of filmmakers, Independent Film Week remains the oldest and largest forum in the U.S. for the discovery of new projects in development and new voices on the independent film scene.

IFP’s objective with Independent Film Week is to create a destination where the community of individuals involved in independent film can annually convene - from the filmmakers selected for their strong new projects to the individuals from companies and organizations aimed at helping the work get made, and ultimately seen, by public audiences. Priority is given to projects that have little or no previous exposure in the U.S. marketplace.

Independent Film Week’s Project Forum allows participating Industry access to 150 new documentary & narrative works-in-progress, numerous networking opportunities throughout the week, “Sneak Preview” screenings, and the Filmmaker Conference, featuring 30+ cutting edge panel discussions and case studies.

PROJECT FORUM ONLINE

The Project Forum Online is the best tool for registered industry to explore these 150 projects selected to participate in Independent Film Week. This searchable online dossier presents detailed information on each project; including summaries, artistic statements, crew bios, budget, and attachments, as well as supplemental media. All Spotlight on Documentaries and Lab projects present a scene or trailer, and many Emerging Narrative and No Borders projects share a short script sample. We hope you find this an effective tool in making the most of your time at Independent Film Week.
